On 20 December 2016, Airbus Defence and Space GmbH signed the Certificate of Acceptance (CofA) of the software developed by UAB Elsis and UAB Elsis PRO within the framework of NATO AGS Programme.
The AGS Project started on 12 December 2012 after signing the agreement the German company EADS Deutschland GmbH (now Airbus Defence and Space) and UAB Elsis on subcontracting in implementing the programme “NATO AGS Core System – MGGS”. As part of works the software was developed for the Mobile General Exploitation Component System (MGECS). The MGECS is important part of the Mobile General Ground Station of the AGS system. The main purpose of the MGECS is receiving, processing, storing and disseminating to system users different information obtained from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and other electronic (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance) sensors.
In implementing the agreement, 3 business services (software components) were implemented – D/F STANAG 5516-5522 (Link 16, Link 22), D/F STANAG 4676 (NATO Improved Tracking System (NITS)) and D/F STANAG 4609 (Motion Imagery (MI)), and various other works of design, coding, testing, integration and verification both in Lithuania and Germany were carried out.
The Certificate of Acceptance certifies that the developed software fully complies with completion (fulfilment of requirements) and quality (remaining bugs/issues, criticality) requirements of the agreement.
After signing the Certificate of Acceptance, the warranty maintenance period of 12 months started. The warranty maintenance is subject to high requirements, in particular with respect to operative resolution of registered bugs/issues and problems.
