UAB Elsis PRO together with other 43 ICT sector companies is participating in the execution of the project “Professional Training of Employees of Small and Micro ICT Sector Enterprises” (project No. VP1-1.1-SADM-01-K-02-094) in the implementation of the measure VP1-1.1-SADM-01-K “Improving Human Resources in Enterprises” of Axis 1 “Quality Employment and Social Inclusion” of the Operational Programme for the Development of Human Resources 2007 – 2013.

The essence of the project is a project for professional training of employees of small and micro enterprises operating in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector. Due to the specifics of the ICT sector, development speed of information and communication technologies and constantly emerging innovations, it is very important for such enterprises to receive the latest knowledge related to the services provided, applications used, products developed, competence certificates accepted in the market and changes in the ICT area, thus improving skills of employees in professional trainings is one of the priority axes, thanks to which enterprises will have highly-skilled specialists and professionals, contributing to successful operation thereof.

The aim of the project is the acquisition of specialized training services for strengthening special employee software development, testing and analytical abilities and skills.

The task of the project is to increase the level of knowledge and qualification of the organization’s employees by holding special trainings for them, which would lead to increased competitiveness of employees in the labour market, improved quality of services provided, increased work efficiency and enhanced opportunity to seek for the goals set. Trainings will help employees to adapt to changing work conditions, set requirements for the quality of work, and to pursue a fruitful performance of their work functions.

Project activities started on 8 July 2013 and the scheduled end date thereof is 7 July 2015. The project is carried out by UAB Baltic Orbis.

19 employees of the company will participate in trainings for young specialists up to 29 years of age, including 5 system analysts – designers, 8 system designers – programmers, 5 quality engineers and 1 system expert.

Training topics include business analysis, advanced Java programming, Java web component development, Microsoft SQL server query creation, administration, data warehouses; ISTQB Advanced for quality engineers, IT/IS audit basics in accordance with CISA application requirements.
