The Novian Group

The group’s companies, based in all the Baltic countries, Norway and Rwanda, today work in three business areas: software services, digitization and IT infrastructure. Development of national and “smart city” information systems, expertise in the fields of aviation, defence and energy, and analytics and process automation solutions – those are the areas where the Novian software services companies have the most experience. This is because we have a variety of digitization solutions. They are provided by the world-renowned media monitoring software and digital services company Zissor, Novian in Lithuania and Estonia. The Novian group has more than 10 years of experience in this field.

Our experience extends to projects in business, e-governance, e-health, tax administration and other fields (in Lithuania), and artificial intelligence for the creation of a robot that speaks Lithuanian.

We also use the possibilities that new technologies offer for solutions related to climate change and weather forecasting (in South Africa), to deploy supercomputers at Vilnius University (in Lithuania) and to deploy data-centre solutions in various countries.

Modernization of Bangladesh national data center

With the development of a comprehensive e-services delivery system in Bangladesh, the need has arisen for an efficient organization to connect e-services data centers to the state-owned cloud. Novian Technologies has redesigned and integrated the public cloud infrastructure so that public institutions can use it conveniently and efficiently. The result of the project is the simple use of the state cloud in state institutions, understandable pricing, efficient use of state resources, convenient integration of systems and software into the state cloud.


Declaring the income of the population in Lithuania – in just a few minutes

The State Tax Inspectorate (STI) takes care of the administration of the main taxes in Lithuania. Its database contains almost 2 million of only natural persons considered taxpayers. To administer taxes more efficiently, the STI entrusted Novian Systems to develop a complex personal income tax information system. After making the necessary improvements, the STI can ensure simpler and more convenient collection and processing of data related to personal income tax. The information system, updated with other companies, also makes it easier to submit annual personal income declarations online, taking just a couple of minutes.


Modernization of financial services provided by Kyrgyz Post

Novian Technologies, together with another company belonging to the INVL Technology group - Etronika, has digitized the provision of Kyrgyz postal financial services to the country's population. In a mountainous country with a population of more than 6 million, some of whom live in remote areas, this has led to faster access to financial services, reduced administrative costs, and increased the reliability of financial postal services provided. The project implemented by Lithuanian companies is one of several major projects in the Kyrgyzstan financial sector development program financed by the World Bank.


Efficiency and speed in solving complex computational problems - for science and other fields.

A supercomputer to help solve climate change problems

Novian Technologies company has deployed a high-performance climate monitoring and modeling supercomputer at the WASCAL (West African Science Service Center on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use) IT Competence Center in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. Its ability to process vast amounts of data has allowed scientists to more effectively develop tools to mitigate the effects of climate change, anticipate potential impacts, and help them adapt to the environmental changes that have already taken place, which are highly-important to West African countries.


VU MIDAS IT infrastructure design, equipment supply, installation, and maintenance

In the year 2015 the largest and most modern National open access research data archive (MIDAS) in the Baltic States has been launched at the Vilnius University Centre of Information Technology Development. The main IT infrastructure was designed and provided by Novian Technologies together with the joint venture partners. The aim of MIDAS is to collect, process, store and analyze research data and related information from all fields of science, to make this information available.

Novian Technologies has implemented a unique architecture of high-performance computing devices at Vilnius University, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (VU MIF), which enables fast and efficient research in the fields of artificial intelligence development, neural network training, and other creative and research activities that require very high scale calculations.

I-Kiosk service at Swedbank in the Baltic States

By increasing the availability of electronic services, banks are moving most of their services to the electronic space, where they are provided around the clock. The solution of info-terminals serves enterprises well in this field - they are designed taking into account the unique needs of customers, by integrating the hardware and software of the global manufacturers that solve the tasks before them the best, into their systems. In 2020, the number of Swedbank Internet Banking terminals installed and maintained by Novian Technologies in the Baltic States has exceeded 800.


A quality management system for more efficient work of the Lithuanian State Labor Inspectorate

In the XXI century, the public sector is facing a growing need for greater transparency and efficiency, and business-oriented quality management systems are being used to this end. To improve performance and make more efficient use of the received funding, the Lithuanian State Labor Inspectorate has implemented a performance management and monitoring system. It has also made it possible to reduce the administrative burden on businesses as their inspections have become more targeted. These technological changes in the State Labor Inspectorate have been implemented by Novian Systems.


Automation of Viada gas station network processes yields more order and efficiency

Process automation helps to avoid inefficient routine work, introduce more order and focus on core activities. This is evidenced by the incident and contract registers and the internal document signing system installed by Novian Systems in the Viada LT gas station network.
